Intermountain Dairy Youth and Families -
If you’re looking for a summer experience that mixes sunshine, friends, cows, leadership, and unforgettable memories, then this is YOUR sign to pack your bags and head to the National Holstein Convention in Orlando, Florida June 22-25th! It's an incredible opportunity for youth to learn, grow, and compete in a supportive environment. This event features some of the most valuable dairy‑focused competitions in the country—perfect for building confidence and real‑world skills.
Dairy QuizBowl: Team‑based knowledge test and buzzer rounds, great for strengthening knowledge and teamwork.
Dairy Jeopardy: individual, fast-paced contest modeled after Jeopardy, but with dairy facts
Public Speaking: Builds communication skills that benefit students for life.
Creative Contests: Folding displays and other projects allow youth to express ideas and leadership creatively.
Along with these contests, students will meet peers from across the country, connect with industry mentors, and enjoy a safe, structured, and memorable experience—all in vibrant Orlando. More info can be found on the website here: https://www.holsteinconvention.com/
The Intermountain Holstein Association has committed funds to cover some travel costs for youth representing the Intermountain region in contests. Representing our region comes with expectations as to attending virtual and/or in-person practices and commitment to studying at home. I will be attending as coach and chaperone, along with parents and Intermountain Holstein Association delegates.
If you have any questions or are interested in attending, please reach out by April 1st.
Best, Isabelle Leonard
